You may not yet be familiar with the amazing nutrition and taste of red palm oil, but for over 5,000 years it has been a staple of indigenous cultures. Legend has it that this sacred food was revered for its healthful properties and entombed with the pharaohs of ancient Egypt for their enjoyment in the afterlife. One of our most recent discoveries, red palm oil is a nutrient-dense culinary oil. Its rich orange color reveals the presence of antioxidant vitamins A and E, in the forms of beta-carotene and rare tocotrienols and tocopherols of the vitamin E family.
